Privacy policy
Outlinr · Effective June 12, 2026
Outlinr is a Chrome extension that lets you score and track stocks against your trading template directly on the TradingView website. This policy explains what data the extension handles.
Data we collect
Outlinr does not collect any personal data from you. There is no account, no login, and no behavioral tracking. Starting with version 1.2.0, the extension collects anonymous usage analytics to help us understand how the tool is used and improve it.
These analytics include events such as "overlay opened," "score saved," or "dashboard filtered" — simple action counts with no personal information attached. This data is sent to Google Analytics. No names, email addresses, browsing history, or personally identifiable information is ever collected or transmitted.
Data stored on your device
The extension stores the following information locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage (chrome.storage.local):
- Stock scoring snapshots you create (ticker symbol, scores, notes, timestamps)
- Your customized scoring criteria and section names
- Your dashboard preferences (filters, sort order, panel position)
All of this stays on your computer. It is not transmitted to us, to any server, or to any third party. Uninstalling the extension removes this data from your browser.
Third-party services
Outlinr uses Google Analytics (via the Measurement Protocol) to collect anonymous usage data such as which features are used and how often. No advertising, error reporting, or remote scripts are used. No data is shared with any party other than Google Analytics for this single purpose.
Data sharing
We do not sell, transfer, or share any user data with third parties. Anonymous usage analytics are sent to Google Analytics solely to understand how the extension is used. This data cannot identify any individual user.
Permissions
The extension requests two permissions:
- storage: required to save your scoring snapshots and preferences locally in your browser.
- host access to tradingview.com (and in.tradingview.com): required to display the scoring panel on TradingView chart pages and to read the active ticker symbol from the page.
Children
This extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly handle data from children.
Changes
If this policy is updated, the revised version will be published at the same URL with a new effective date.
